Create Season Pass for Schools

Many schools sell a season pass customers can purchase to give them “free” entry to all athletic events throughout the school year. This tutorial offers suggestions for setting up a season pass to school athletic events.


Creating a Season Pass

Season passes should be set up as a basic membership. Click here for additional information on creating a Basic Membership.


Recommended Settings

  • Max Participants: Set the maximum number of members that can be included on one season pass. If you have multiple options such as an individual season pass versus a family season pass, they will need to be setup as separate products so that you can limit the maximum number of participants on the pass.

  • Duration: This would typically be set to Specific Dates and the dates would likely be set to include the start of fall season and finish with the end of the spring season.

  • Auto Generate Member Barcode: Turn this option on if you want to be able to scan passes at the gate.

  • Sell Online: Turn this option on if you want customers to be able to purchase season passes online.

  • Benefits: To give free entry to games, use the settings below as a benefit. This setup is critical for the pass to work properly.

    • Product Category: The category where you list your events. (If you list your events in multiple categories, add a separate benefit line for each category)

    • Product: All (By setting a specific product category and then setting the product to all, this gives the discount for all ticket events in that category, but doesn’t give the discount for other products such as concessions)

    • Type: Percent Discount

    • Amount: 100 (Reduces the ticket cost to $0)

    • Quantity: 1 (Gives one free ticket per member on the membership)

    • Unit: Per Product (Set it per product rather than being time-based)


How Season Pass Holder Use Their Pass

  • Online: Season pass holders will still be able to purchase tickets online through the normal ticket flow. When they select their ticket, they will then enter their 8-digit member code in the Member Code field to receive their discount.

  • Gate: To receive the discount at the gate, season pass holders can present their member code to receive their discount. The member code can be entered or scanned to the POS.
