The tournaments tab on the League Settings page allows you to create, view, and edit tournaments within your seasons. If you plan to have a tournament or playoffs at some point during your season, you will need to set one up here to track tournament stats and standings separately than regular season games.
Both a league and a season must be setup to add tournaments.
Tournament Name: Name of the tournament.
Tournament Format:
Buffalo Point System: Tracks standings different than normal. Teams get one point for each period they win (or 0.5 points if tied) and two points for winning the game.
Double Elimination: Teams can lose up to two times before being eliminated. When a team loses their first game, they end up in a separate bracket.
Round Robin: Each team players each other once.
Single Elimination: Teams are eliminated once they lose one game.
Start & End Dates: Start and end dates of the tournament. These dates are utilized when using the schedule builder on the League Events page.
Note: Individual games will be tied to a specific tournament.
Note: All-Star Rec Manager does not automatically add teams to games for the next round(s) of the tournament. You will need to manually input winners and losers for the next rounds.
It is not recommended to delete a tournament because all historical information associated with the tournament will become inaccessible.
