This tutorial will walk through the various table features embedded within many pages on All-Star Rec Manager. Specifically, it will explain how to filter, sort, and perform actions on data in the tables.
Every table has a built-in Search filter. This filter allows you to search for certain words or phrases in the table. The entire table will be searched rather than a single column.
Some tables also come with additional filters. The settings for these filters will save individually in your browser and will repopulate the next time you view that table.
Tables are presorted in some way, but are also equipped with the ability for you to customize your sort by clicking the column header. An arrow will appear in the column header letting you know whether the data is sorted in ascending or descending order.
Most tables are paginated to avoid hundreds or thousands of records showing up on your screen at once. On the left below tables that allow pagination are a set of buttons starting with previous and ending with next that allow you to navigate the pages of the table. Most tables include 15 records per page, but some have more or less depending on the content.
Some tables come with an Actions column which may have a few or many potential actions you can take. Page/tab articles provide additional information about each of these actions.
Add Record: Most tables include a button labeled Add New located right above the table on the right. Use this button to add a new record.
Edit Record: Most tables allow you to click on a row to view/edit the record.
Delete Record: Most tables allow you to click the checkbox in the first column of the table to select a record, and then click the Delete icon below the table to delete it.
Export to CSV: Tables on the reports page allow you to export the data to a CSV.
Other Actions: Some tables allow you to perform additional actions on the data in the table such as copying the record, viewing a PDF of the record, or sending the record via email. Specifics on each of these actions is included in the articles for each page/tab.
