This tutorial will walk through the various text editor features embedded within some pages on Disciple Launcher. Specifically, it will explain how to use each of the tools provided in the text editor.
Font Style: set the font style for selected text.
Bold: toggle whether selected text is bold.
Italic: toggle whether selected text is italicized.
Underline: toggle whether selected text is underlined.
Strikethrough: toggle whether selected text has a line through it.
Subscript: set the selected text to be subscript.
Superscript: set the selected text to be superscript.
Font Family: set the font family for the selected text.
Font Size: set the font size for the selected text.
Color: set the color of the selected text.
Alignment: set the alignment of the selected text.
Bulleted List: turn the selected text into a bulleted list.
Numbered List: turn the selected text into a numbered list.
Link: add a link to the selected text. If the text already contains a link, highlight the text and click the Link button to show the popup that will allow you to edit the link. Click the save button on the popup when done editing.
When text styles such as the font family, font size, or font color are not specifically set in the text editor, they will take on the default values.
In other words, the end product may look different than what you see in the text editor. For example, email clients such as Gmail have default text styles that are different than this text editor, so an email you type up in this text editor will look different when it hits a Gmail inbox.
If you want to maintain complete control over the feel of content you create in the text editor, you should manually set the font family, font size, and font color of the text in the editor.
