  • Surcharge for In-Person Sales: Enable to pass applicable in-person card fees to customers.

    • Note: You are responsible to ensure compliance with state and federal laws on surcharging.

  • Account Code for Custom Amounts: The account code to assign to custom amounts added to the cart.

Convenience Fees for Online Sales

You may optionally pass the cost of the processing fees along to your customers (convenience fees) for items sold online such as registration fees, tickets, and memberships. You are responsible to determine if you are legally permitted to charge convenience fees for online sales. Convenience fees may be added per location and product category.

Note: Some states have laws prohibiting passing convenience fees along to customers for in-person purchases, so All-Star Rec Manager does not have an option to pass these fees along for in-person purchases.

Note: Convenience fees for online ticket sales usually can be completed passed along to the customer. However, when a situation arises where the customer uses a discount code that offers them a free ticket, it becomes more complex. Whether the customer pays for the ticket or not, can be more complex when your organization gives away free tickets.
