Sub Requests

Last Updated: April 13, 2026

The sub requests page allows organizations to manage sub requests. Posting and filling sub spots can be a way to add extra cash flow for the league.

Page Privileges

Organization Mangers, Assistants, and Sub Coordinators have access to this page and can perform all page functions.

Page Filters

This page has four header filters: Organization, League, Season, and Division.

Process Workflow

  1. A player will submit a sub request which creates an open sub spot for another player pick up.

  2. The subbing page on the league website contains a table which displays all sub requests including both open and claimed sub spots. If the spot is open, players may click on a button to Sign Up and complete the form.

  3. The sub coordinator can review the requests in the table and decide whether to approve or deny them.

  4. All rostered players and subs will appear on the team’s game roster.

Sub Request Form Functionality

A link will be provided on the subbing page of the league website to access the Sub Request Form. Players may fill out the form for themselves. Team Captains may fill out the form for anyone on their team. When filling out the form, the requestor will be prompted to select the Sub Player. They can either fill in this field or leave it open. Open spots will be able to be claimed by other players in the league.

Sub Requests Page Functionality

Sub requests appear in the table with information necessary to make a decision on whether to allow a sub to play. This page works to its full potential when the league uses a rating system because it can auto-detect whether a player is eligible based on their rating, but can also work fine without one.

  • Approve a Sub Request: Check the box in the table for the sub request and click the Approve Request icon below the table.

    • Note: Sub requests can be set up to auto approve if there are no errors with the request. This can be setup on the Preferences page, League tab, Subbing Preferences section.

  • Deny a Sub Request: Check the box in the table for the sub request and click the Deny Request icon below the table. A popup window will appear requesting additional information for why the sub request was denied. After denying the sub request, the spot will open back up for another player to claim.

    • Note: Sub requests can be set up to auto deny if there are errors with the request. This can be setup on the Preferences page, League tab, Subbing Preferences section.

  • Change Sub Player Rating: Check the box in the table for the sub request and click the Change Sub Player Rating icon below the table. A popup window will appear allowing you to manually enter a rating for the sub player.

Sub Fees

Sub fees are set on the Preferences page, League tab, Subbing Fees section. The ability to automatically create a receivable for sub fees can be set on the Preferences page, League tab, Subbing Preferences section.

When a sub request is approved, a receivable for their sub fees will automatically be added to the player’s account (if applicable). When a sub request is denied, the receivable connected to this sub spot will be removed (if applicable).
