Website - Posts

Last Updated: April 13, 2026

The posts tab on the Website page allows organizations to create posts. Posts are useful to share organizational updates on the public-facing announcements page, league website, or on the organization’s website through the API. Posts can be copied and deleted.

Customizations

  • Post Categories allows you to create custom categories for your posts.

Fields

  • Image: The image associated with the post. If no image is selected, the following default images will be used:

    • League website: Default image connected to your league website.

    • Other: Default image associated with All-Star Rec Manager.

  • Post Type:

    • Simple: Simple posts are written using a text editor and have the option to add links. This type of post is not time-intensive.

    • Advanced: Advanced posts allow you to customize the entirety of the post, including background colors, spacing, margins, etc. This type of post is more flexible, but also much more time-intensive than simple posts.

  • Location: Location associated with this post (if applicable). The location can be helpful for filtering, sorting, and reporting.

  • League: League associated with this post and will display on the selected league’s website.

  • Date: Date of the post. Posts are most often sorted by date.

    • Note: If you are creating posts that do not typically need a date assigned to them, such as for staff members to display on your website, you will still need to add dates, but can strategically use the dates to determine the order in which the staff members appear.

  • Category: Category of the post.

  • Title: Title of the post.

  • Author: Author of the post (if applicable).

  • Tags: Tags allow searching of posts. Separate with a comma.

  • Active: Enable to display the post.

  • Post Contents:

    • Simple posts: The content included in simple posts is a text editor and a table for links. Links will show up as buttons below the main text of the post.

    • Advanced posts: The content includes a post builder tool to construct a post from scratch.
